ScrabbleBee raises close to $40K

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The 14th annual ScrabbleBee was held in Eau Claire Thursday night and hundreds packed into 29 Pines, bringing their dictionaries along too!  

News 18's own Amie Winters emceed the event which raises money for Literacy Volunteers of the Chippewa Valley. The event raised close to $40,000 for the literacy group. 

The Literacy Volunteer's director said the event was very successful and is thankful for everyone's support. 

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A ScrabbleBee will be held tonight to help support literacy in the area.  

Registration for the ScrabbleBee is at 5:15 p.m. with the competition starting at 6 p.m. at 29 Pines in Eau Claire. Teams of up to six will work together to build words. All proceeds go directly to the Literacy Volunteers Chippewa Valley's programs and services.
