Chippewa Falls Police Department puts it all on the coffee table

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - The Chippewa Falls Police Department is designating time to meet with community members over a cup of coffee.

They're calling it Coffee with a Cop. They're promising to meet with community members in order to answer any posing questions. They've set up designated times at a local coffee shop about once every-other month. They've never done anything like this before, but want to create trust and have transparency with the public.

"It's been on our agenda for about two years so long before anything that started with all the tension, but I think right now is probably more pertinent than ever to make sure that we're getting out there and we're making that connection with the public and doing whatever we can to show transparency and give them an opportunity to basically ask us questions," said Lt. Brian Micolichek, Chippewa Falls Police Department.
