Eau Claire (WQOW) - Sushi, sake and some savory cuisine will soon be served in downtown Eau Claire.
Ninja Restaurant will open up shop on South Barstow Street in September. If the name sounds familiar that's because it used to be housed in the Eastridge Center on South Hastings Way before it closed, about two years ago.
News 18 reported in March about plans to bring the restaurant to Barstow. The new location will have a sushi bar and seat about 100 people.
Binh Lin, co-owner of the restaurant, said with booming development downtown, she and her husband are hoping to bring a different dining experience with an interior pond and fish stream. Lin said, ”It's a very high class restaurant. They probably don't see this in Eau Claire much. It's going to be a different type of restaurant."
Renovations are still underway. The owners, who also own Asia Palace buffet, said they expect to open the restaurant in mid-September.
