Eau Claire (WQOW) - The average pay wage for employees throughout the Chippewa Valley has increased by 3.2% according to a the 16th Annual Chippewa Valley Wage Survey.
The survey details the average hourly pay of workers in Eau Claire, Chippewa, Dunn, and Barron counties. Employers can use these numbers to set competitive wages, and attract quality employees. This year's survey shows average pay is 3.2% higher than last year, which has the Eau Claire Chamber of Commerce in good spirits.
"It says two things," said Bob McCoy, President and CEO of Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce, "It says first, that (employers are) going to try to keep the work force that they have and secondly, they're going to try to take that workforce and recognize them with as much as an increase as they can."
