Clark County Emergency Management (PRESS RELEASE)- Clark County was impacted by very heavy rains overnight. The central and western parts of the county appear to have experienced the most damage. This has resulted in numerous road closures due to water over roadways as well as some road and culvert washouts.
County RD M is closed north of County RD I due to culvert washouts and will remain closed until repairs are made. There were also reports of undermining of the roadway on County Rd B west of US highway 12/27 near Humbird.
Several Towns are reporting damage to roadways including culvert washouts.
Town and County crews are working to make repairs and damage assessment is continuing.
Motorists are asked to avoid areas where roads have been flooded or washed out to allow crews to complete their work. Motorists should also never drive through roadways that are covered with water. The road may have been damaged and the damage may not be visible due to the water. If you encounter water over the roadway turn around and find an alternate route.
No damage estimates are available at this time but the assessment process is ongoing.
