Polk County (WQOW) - A school bus driver has been arrested for drunk driving in northwestern Wisconsin, minutes before he was scheduled to pick up some students.
Polk County Sheriff's Office received a phone call, Tuesday around 6 p.m., reporting that a school bus driver had walked out of a bar, vomited, urinated and then drove off in the bus.
A sheriff's deputy said he found the bus parked near the Luck Schools with Jeramia Marek passed out in the driver's seat. Marek denied drinking, but failed field sobriety tests and had an alcohol level that was twice the limit. Deputies said Marek was minutes away from transporting the Siren Middle School girls volleyball team from Luck to Siren.
