Eau Claire (WQOW)- From New York to L.A. and from Austria back to Wisconsin, filmmaker Justin Johnson has debuted his first feature film all around the world, and now he's stopping in Eau Claire.
Johnson, an Eau Claire native, premiered "Double Digits" Friday at the downtown Micon Theater. It's a documentary about a man named Richard "R.G." Miller, 52, who lives in Kansas an spends hours making incredible Youtube videos at his home. He does it all in the hopes that his views reach the double digits.
Johnson tells his story, and Miller's inspiring love of film making.
"It made me realize there's no excuse for me not to do something, or not to try to do something. The story in the film is just so great and so inspiring, and I think for me too, I'm proud of completing this film and I think that the local audience here in Eau Claire will really love the movie," said Johnson.
Johnson hopes it'll inspire other young Eau Claire film makers to not be afraid of going out on their own.
The film will also be available on itunes, Xbox, and Amazon on December 8.
