Eau Claire (WQOW)- After stomachs were filled with Thanksgiving dinners, many people started filling shopping carts to get a jump on Black Friday shopping in Eau Claire.
Hundreds of people filled the aisles of the Eau Claire Target on Thursday in the spirit of holiday savings. Target is one of the many stores that got a head start on Black Friday, opening up their doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, or in other words, Grey Thursday.
Target manager Whitney Rowdon said all hands were on deck and ready for the rush of holiday shoppers.
"Black Friday is kind of the weekend that kicks off the holiday shopping for our guests, so it's something super exciting and it's something we really look forward to. Every year it just keeps getting bigger and growing, so we expect a lot of sales and a lot of guest traffic to come through," said Rowdon.
As Black Friday weekend tradition goes, TV's were one of the hottest items off the Target shelves and in to carts on Thursday, along with plenty of other door busters.
The holiday bargains will continue rolling through the Target aisles all through the night, with sales ending at 11 p.m. Friday night.
