Madison police officer pleads not guilty to corruption charges
MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison police officer pleaded not guilty in federal court Monday morning to corruption charges.
Andrew Pullum, 31, is accused of taking nearly $4,000 in cash from the trunk of a car after an undercover agent, posing as a citizen tipster, told him she was angry at her boyfriend for dealing drugs and that there might be money and cocaine in the car.
Authorities say the investigation was in response to a tip in August about a possible corrupt officer involved in armed robberies. The arrest came after an elaborate sting operation.
