Eau Claire (WQOW)- The pizza deliveryman accused of stabbing another man while on the job in Eau Claire was back in court Monday.
Andrew Lawrence pleaded not guilty to attempted reckless homicide and endangering safety.
It was in January of last year that police said Lawrence was delivering a pizza to a home when a group of people started throwing snowballs at him.
Investigators say Lawrence stopped at his truck to get a knife, then confronted the group. Lawrence claimed he was punched first and that the stabbing was self-defense. But victim Jerod Sabaska, who was stabbed five times and was in a coma, says Lawrence grabbed him first.
No new court dates have been set for Lawrence.
