Copy-Health officials investigating Fitchburg restaurant after alligators on display
FITCHBURG (WKOW) --- The Environmental Health Division of Public Health Madison and Dane County is actively investigating a new Fitchburg restaurant after complaints they had live alligators on display on opening night.
Jeffrey Golden with Public Health says the presence of the animal in a restaurant is against health codes.
The restaurant Me & Julio opened this week on South Fish Hatchery Road.
27 News spoke with the owner of the restaurant who says the alligators are from a reptile rescue.

Lemmer tells 27 News there were two of them,an adult you see in the video and a baby one. Lemmer says the baby alligator had his mouth taped closed and that both were located in the bar area with patrons around them.
