GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - A fired Lambeau Field food service employee will stand trial on accusations he chased down a former co-worker and another man with his car and rammed their vehicle and others. Chay Vang is facing seven charges, including recklessly endangering safety. Vang says he didn't intend to hit the two employees, but just wanted to scare them.
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Police say an officer shot and wounded an armed suspect and inadvertently struck another officer at the scene with gunfire. The shooting happened Thursday evening when police responded to a call and found a 48-year-old man armed with knives. Police say the officer fired his gun, striking the suspect in the leg and hitting the other officer in the foot.
MILWAUKEE (AP) - A former Milwaukee police officer who was acquitted last year in a fatal shooting that sparked two nights of riots has pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution in an unrelated sexual assault case. Under the deal with Dominique Heaggan-Brown, prosecutors dropped the most serious charges of second-degree sexual assault. Those felonies by themselves carried decades-long maximum prison sentences if convicted. Heaggan-Brown now faces up to 15 years when he's sentenced on Feb. 20.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan has nearly $10 million on hand entering a 2018 re-election bid. The Wisconsin Republican's campaign said Thursday that the figure is his largest haul heading into an election year in his nine terms in Congress. The sum includes $1.4 million raised in the final three months of 2017. Ryan's Democratic challengers include union ironworker Randy Bryce. His campaign raised $1.2 million in the final months of 2017.
