Rusk County (WQOW) - A Rusk County man, who was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend's father is pleading innocent to the charges.
Thomas Martin, from Ladysmith, entered the plea yesterday after a judge found it probable that he committed a felony.
Martin is accused of first degree murder for the April stabbing death of Richard Larson.
According to the charges, the two men were fighting at a Ladysmith apartment. Martin told police that Larson attacked him but Larson was stabbed in the back with a large kitchen knife. Before he died Larson told police that Martin was attacking his daughter.
The judge yesterday denied Martin's request to lower his $250,000 bond. He will return to court next month.
