An area woman is accused of leaving a cat in a hot mobile home for nearly 2 weeks with little or no food or water.
According to the criminal complaint Stacy Halling, from Knapp, lived in the mobile home with her boyfriend but the landlord noticed no one had been around to take care of the cat. He thought it was due to the boyfriend being wanted on an arrest warrant.
The landlord said he went into the home and the cat had no water and only two bites of food.
A week later it had no water or food, and it was warm inside. He said the cat drank a half -gallon of water he then provided. Investigators have been unable to locate Halling. She is charged with misdemeanor animal neglect.
