A local Eagle Scout is giving dogs something to wag their tails about.
Jacob Shoemaker, a junior from Eau Claire Memorial High School built a doggie playground for the Eau Claire County Humane Association and for his eagle project. Jacob put in a total of 265 hours and raised $3000 dollars to make this doggie playground possible. The doggie playground is filled with ramps, weave poles, hurdles and a bench for resting.
Jacob did all of the fundraising and designed it himself, while the construction was done with the help of his step father, mother, siblings and members from his boy scout troop.
"It brings me great joy seeing them enjoy it, and I've put a lot of hard work into this and just seeing, like I've kind of tell that the dogs like it," said Jacob Shoemaker.
Jacob is happy to see the dogs take advantage of the playground.
