Caledonia (WISN) -- A father and his 9-year-old daughter were killed in a crash Friday night in Caledonia.
It happened at 4 Mile and Old Farm roads.
Police said Kevin Dalley had been making a left turn into a subdivision when his sedan was struck by a pickup truck, police said. Kevin Dalley, and his daughter, Emily Dalley, were both killed.
The driver of the truck, Levi Ruohonen, 25, faces two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, his second OWI, police said. Speed may have also been a factor in the crash, police said.
A 6-year-old girl in the car suffered injuries. She was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital.
"Rosalee (Dalley) had one of her baby teeth knocked out and another one loose, but that's about the worst of the scratches she had. So she's very, very fortunate with the other two killed," family friend Lynn Davis said.
Saturday morning friends and loved ones went to the family's home to drop off care packages and show their support.
"You don't realize the lives that are lived, and when something so tragic like this happens, how we need each other for that," neighbor Ken Dahlin said.
A family member told reporters they are asking for privacy as they grieve.
Kevin Dalley and his wife have three daughters. A fundraising page has been set up to help raise money for the surviving girls' college and life expenses.
