Eau Claire (WQOW) - After Cyber Monday comes "Giving Tuesday", which marks the beginning of the "giving season". It celebrates and encourages activities that support charities and non-profits.
According to the Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity, last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate "Giving Tuesday". The local organization is using Tuesday to remind the public of their belief; that everyone deserves a decent and affordable place to live. Feed My People Food Bank will also celebrate "Giving Tuesday". They encourage community members to provide support to the many non-profits in the area. They also said that all qualified gifts to Feed My People Food Bank, from Tuesday through the end of the year, will be matched up to $50,000 by Charter Bank and a small group of anonymous donors.
