Friday Nov. 10 Events:

  • Eau Claire School District has numerous events. Click here for a schedule
  • 7:40 a.m. - Elk Mound students decorate vehicles with flags are driving to Elk Mound High School
  • 10 a.m. - Colfax School Veterans Day Program
  • 7:30 a.m. - UW-Stout, students who are members of the campus Veterans Club will place 29 flags in the amphitheater lawn on the east side of the Memorial Student Center. Each flag is in memory of a U.S. military member who has died in action the past year while serving their country.
  • 9:30 a.m. - Ron Kind hosts Veterans Town Hall at Labor Temple, 2233 Birch Street
  • 9:45 a.m. - The Annual Menomonie Middle School Veterans Program, in the Menomonie Middle School Gymnasium. Our guest speaker is David Leonard Dolan, recipient of the Silver Star in the Republic of Vietnam on November 17, 1966.  He is the father of staff member, Timothy Dolan, of the Menomonie Middle School English Department.

Saturday Nov. 11 Event:

  • 11:00am - 2:00 pm  - This Veteran's Day, Texas Roadhouse invites veterans and active duty members of the United States military to enjoy a FREE lunch on Saturday, November 11.  For the seventh year, every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will participate in the free lunch event to honor the men and women of our armed forces.
  • 2:00 p.m. - Brackett American Legion post 550 is hosting a Veterans day flag retirement program with assistance from the Fall Creek Boy Scout troop. Brackett American Legion post 9150 County Rd D
  • 1 p.m. - 100th birthday party for Harold Baughman at Wissota Place Senior Living in Chippewa Falls. State Rep. Bernier will be there to present a formal citation acknowledging Baughman's military and community service.
  • 8:30-11:30 a.m. YMCA Yoga Room - Pack care packages for troops
