Cadott (WQOW) -- Even though it doesn't feel much like Christmas outside, it's starting to look a lot like it around Wisconsin.
On Sunday, Dixon's Apple Orchard in Cadott decked the halls for its second annual Holiday Open House. The free, family-friendly event featured camp fires with s'mores, holiday hayrides, animals, crafts and more.
Hundreds of people came out to kick off the Christmas season.
“Just seeing all the decorations and gathering gifts for friends and family," Kristen Rokenbrodt told News 18. "That's one thing I look forward to every year after Thanksgiving,”
Many families used the day as an early opportunity to pick out a Christmas tree. Others found it a more viable option than other holiday traditions.
“We'd rather come here than I guess go deer hunting,” Melissa Folczyk said.
Organizers said their event is a great way to wrap up Thanksgiving weekend.
