School employee jailed on possible child assault charges
LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - An employee of the La Crosse School District has been arrested on possible charges of sexually assaulting a child.
Superintendent Randy Nelson sent an email to parents Wednesday saying the show choir's co-director Dustin Bagstad was arrested earlier in the day and has been placed on leave pending the outcome of his case. Bagstad has not been formally charged. It was not immediately clear if Bagstad has hired an attorney.
The superintendent is asking anyone with additional information on the case to call police.
