On Sunday, white, blue, red, green and gold lights lit up Sacred Heart Hospital's Healing Gardens to honor the living and the deceased.
Love-Lights represent and honor adults, children, veterans and active military members. Each light memorializes an individual with love and care. On Sunday, the event marked 32 years of the Love-Light ceremony.
"We see thousands of lights on those trees," said Mary Pengra, the director of volunteer services at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital.
"It's fairly consistent. The donors are wonderful. It can change out with tree toppers, Nativity sets that we have added to the program. We're very pleased and humble that we have such wonderful community support," she told News 18.
This year, Love-Light raised more than $25,000 for the Healing Place. With this year's proceeds, that makes $450,000 since the Healing Place was created.
