Eau Claire (WQOW) - An Eau Claire man is accused of stalking a former co-worker, and sexually assaulting her in a store parking lot.
Charges were filed Tuesday against Garland Balmer. He admitted going to the woman's gym about a half dozen times, watching her through the window.
The woman said sometimes he'd be waiting in his car when she got to work, then would walk in with her.
She said last month, when she ran into him at a store, he walked out with her. She said that's when Balmer grabbed her inappropriately, even under her clothes. She said he reached into the front of her pants and into her shirt touching her breast.
When questioned, Balmer admitted grabbing the woman, and going out of his way to drive past her house, as many as a dozen times. She said he also mentioned her husband should remove the tinting on her bathroom window.
Balmer eventually said he felt 'lousy' about what he had done.
