Eau Claire (WQOW) - Management at Just Local Food is looking to expand its store next year to add more variety for customers.
The current store located on South Farwell Street and Washington Street has been open for 13 years, but now it is bursting at the seams.
Store General Manager, Maria Bamonti, said the most feasible option is to re-locate to a new store so they can sell more local food in the Chippewa Valley.
Bamonti plans to announce where the new store will be located in January, but customers won't have to travel far.
"We've actually spent the last two years searching every location in Eau Claire, and then we are also looking forward to staying downtown and serving the community here that we serve already," Bamonti said.
Bamonti said they've narrowed the search for a new store down to one location, but they are waiting to announce it in 2018.
They hope to be open next summer or fall.
In order to raise funds for the new location, starting on Wednesday, the store will host an in-store donation drive. Customers are welcome to make a $1 donation to the "Let's Grow Together" fund.
The store plans to have a new deli and community engagement room in their new location.
