Eau Claire (WQOW) - Over the last couple weeks News 18 has shown stories of young people in our community giving back this holiday season. On Thursday, the kindness continued.
Alexis and Alison Dubiel and Trinity Lontz spent the last few weeks making fleece hats. On Thursday the three stopped by Marshfield Clinic Cancer Center to hand them out to men and women battling cancer.
The Fall Creek eighth grade students said it was part of an 'act of kindness' project at school and this is how they chose to spend it, handing out not just hats, but some holiday cheer.
"It feels really good to help other people, to put a smile on someone else's face feels really good," said Alison.
The girls said they hope to keep this project going, making more hats for those who need a little extra warmth.
