Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - If the old adage 'dress for success' is true, a new cause in the Chippewa Valley should bring prosperity to those entering the medical field.
HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls and non-profit Workforce Resource, Inc. are working together to pair those who want a job in the medical field, with the clothes to help them get there.
They're asking anyone with new or lightly-used medical scrubs to donate to the cause.
"We just want to make sure that we can make it easier for them in any way possible and if we can have our colleagues or the community donate scrubs and make that possible for them, we're willing to do that," Alyssa Van Duyse with HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital said.
With a shortage of health care workers in the Chippewa Valley, organizers said they're happy to help any way they can.
"We want to do everything we can to help alleviate barriers for anyone who is interested in starting a career in health care so that they can start their career ladder," Ginger Dutton with Workforce Resource, Inc. said.
Donations can be dropped off in the lobby of St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls weekdays from Monday, January 15th through February 5th from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
People in need of scrubs can contact Workforce Resource, Inc. at 715-720-2840 after February 5th.
