New CEO of Sacred Heart Hospital is eager to be in the Chippewa Valley

Eau Claire (WQOW) -

HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital and its affiliates will have a new face walking around the halls in February.

News 18 reported Monday, the hospital system announced Andrew Bagnall as its new President and CEO after cutting ties with Julie Manas.

Bagnall received his masters in Health Care Administration from Saint Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. He's moving from Sheboygan, where he was the CEO of St. Nicholas Hospital. Bagnall said he's eager to move to the Chippewa Valley area.

"It's just a great opportunity for myself professionally, but also for my family. It's a wonderful community with a lot of great people here working for our system and that's really attracted me to the western Wisconsin region," Bagnall said.

News 18 asked if he's worried about losing employees to Marshfield Clinic and he responded by saying his goal is to focus on maintaining strong employee relationships and partnerships with other local health affiliates like Prevea Health and OakLeaf Clinics. There is still no update as to why Manas is out of her position as the CEO and President.
