Two sets of twins born days apart at Chippewa Falls hospital

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) -

A rare occurrence happened over the past four days at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, which led to four new miracles!

The smaller hospital sees about 400 babies delivered in the birthing center per year, which normally includes three or four sets of twins per year. But, hospital officials said they had two sets of twins born within the last four days!

First time parents and Chippewa Falls residents, Josh and Jeanna Burgan welcomed their twins Monday morning.

They're excited their new family, which includes their new son Elliot and daughter Amy, were apart of this special occasion for the hospital.

"It's exciting, we came in and we expected to have them on Monday afternoon but they came a little earlier than expected, in the morning, and it's kind of been a rush since then! So, we were just happy to start our family and here we are!" Josh and Jeanna Burgan told News 18.

The other family from Bloomer had their twins last Thursday. They were released from the hospital later on Monday and they were also first-time parents. The two sets of twins were only on the birthing center floor together for a few hours, but doctors and nurses told News 18, it was still a very exciting time for the families and staff.
