UPDATE: Family raises enough money for a diabetes aid dog
Eau Claire (WQOW) - Good news came to an Eau Claire family late last month when they were finally able to pick up their diabetes aid dog.
Last October, News 18 reported on the Bicknell family and their son, Caleb, when they were raising funds at Caleb's elementary school, Roosevelt Elementary, to get a diabetes aid dog to help Caleb with the daily stresses that come along when living with Type 1 Diabetes.
The family was able to raise the $1,500 to get Caleb's companion, and now Buddy Bicknell is the newest member of their family.
The dog is being trained to be a service aid dog in Eau Claire so he can help Caleb with daily activities.
