Saturday, local gun, knife and fishing vendors gathered at the Best Western in Eau Claire to share in their passions. Most did, for the second amendment.
The sixth annual Gun Show is a community event for individuals to socialize, sell and purchase guns and other equipment. News 18 spoke with local gun vendors about the pending bill regarding gun shop security measures. Some agree that security should always be a priority.
Others are frustrated with lawmakers and their lack of attention on current gun laws and policies.
"I think we should follow through with legislation that's already on the books, and not add more to them," said Andrew Klevgard, member of Road 2 Freedom Inc. "If we enforce what we do have now, it's going to be more than sufficient to take care of whatever needs that need to be met."
Lawmakers do not currently have a timeline for the proposed bill.
