La Crosse (WXOW) -- Dozens of dance teams from all over Wisconsin came to compete at the 2018 Wisconsin Association of Cheer and Pom Coaches state dance championships held at the La Crosse Center.
The competition kicked off at 9 am with categories including poms, hip hop, jazz, and kick routines. Many local schools participated.
Aquinas took part in the jazz portion of the competition and head coach Molly Mullaney says her team left it all on the floor today, "Amazing, I have never seen them dance harder. I told them to go out there and no matter what kill everything, leave it all on the floor and make sure they leave with no regrets and they absolutely did that."
Each team is judged on their routine in areas such as choreography, technique, appearance, and overall effect
