Eau Claire (WQOW) - Local foodies in Eau Claire can expect some major changes to their favorite restaurants while also looking forward to a variety of new foods coming to the area.

Later in February, a new craft brewery is opening in the Chippewa Valley. Another local restaurant owner has purchased a new store front and a local taco joint is getting a makeover.

Jamie Radabaugh, director of commercial leasing at Commonweal, told News 18 the owners of Acoustic Cafe have purchased a 43,000 square foot storefront along the riverfront and Barstow St. in the Haymarket Landing building.

Owner of the Acoustic Cafe, Louis Sieve, told News 18 the plan is to lease the space, with hopes that someone will open a restaurant in the space, but she said any other businesses are welcome.

If you're a taco and margarita lover, a local joint could soon be gone. Roble Tacos and Tequila has plans to change their Mexican menus into a pizza and craft beer menu according to Kurt Letnes of Letnes Restaurant Group in Saint Cloud, MN. The group also owns Grizzly's and Milwaukee Burger Company. The new pizza restaurant will be named the Northern Tap House. Letnes said Roble may move to a smaller location in Eau Claire, but there are no concrete details, nor timeline yet.

The Growler Guys is also opening up a new location in Eau Claire on London Road. According to the franchise website, the craft brewery was started in Oregon. The Eau Claire storefront will host its grand opening on February 24.
