Osseo-Fairchild (WQOW) - A singing competition straight from a hit movie is coming to western Wisconsin.
This weekend, Osseo-Fairchild High School is hosting the quarterfinal round of the Varsity Vocals tournament.
Nine teams from Minnesota and Wisconsin will be competing, with the winner keeping their hopes alive to compete in the big song and dance nationals at the Lincoln Center in New York.
For those from the host school, the entire experience will be brand new.
"I don't know what to expect because we've never competed before, but it's going to be really cool that we get to host it," said Osseo-Fairchild student Anna Speckien.
Those hoping to catch the competition better hope they already have a ticket. The event was sold out a couple a weeks ago. Varsity Vocal said it's the fastest a tournament has sold out in their history.
