Names released of two people killed in Friday truck crash

- The names of two people killed in a trucking crash have been released, and one of the drivers killed is from Chippewa Falls.

According to police, on Friday, February 23 at about 09:03 a.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 95 near N. Lincoln Road in the Town of Curran, Jackson County.

The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers were Guy Kolman, 55, from Chippewa Falls and Ricky Lindberg, 56, from Hixton.

Both trucks were owned by Illini State Trucking. One vehicle was loaded with sand and the other was empty. 

Jackson County (WQOW) - Two people are dead after two semis crashed in the town of Curran, Jackson County.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, the crash happened Friday morning on Hwy 95 near N. Lincoln Road in Curran.

The initial report is the crash was a head-on collision between two semis and resulted in two deaths. 

Hwy. 95 will be closed for the next several hours while law enforcement officers investigate the crash.

Police ask you to follow the detour or avoid the area if possible. 

The names of the two people killed will not be released until families are notified.
