Northern Wisconsin State Fair lineup released, Cheap Trick added as performer

Chippewa Falls (Pres Release) - The Northern Wisconsin State Fair (July 11-15, 2018) has made its final 2018 Main Stage Line Up announcement with the addition of Cheap Trick who will be taking the stage Saturday, July 14 at 8 p.m. The complete line up includes Frankie Ballard (July 11), Chris Lane (July 12), Martina McBride (July 13), and Cheap Trick (July 14).

Including the price of admission to get into the fair, tickets to attend the performances of Frankie Ballard and Chris Lane start at $20 for reserve seats and $30 for premium seats with grandstand seating being free of charge with general fair admission. Tickets to see Cheap Trick and Martina McBride start at $10 for grandstand seating, $30 for reserve seats, and $40 for premium seats, all in addition to a general fair admission ticket.

“We were in search of a strong female performer to headline Friday evening and we are thrilled to be bringing Martina McBride to the Chippewa Valley,” stated Rusty Volk, Executive Director of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair Association. “To round out our Main Stage performances, we welcome back Cheap Trick, to a much improved venue than the last time they performed on July 30, 1987.

Unique to the Cheap Trick announcement is the addition of two limited edition fan package options. Fans can choose between the “Meet and Greet Package” and the “Fan Tour Package.” The “Meet and Greet Package” is available for $150 and includes: one premium reserved ticket located in the first 5 rows, one adult fair gate admission ticket, meet and greet early entry into the venue, exclusive preshow meet and greet with Cheap Trick, personal photograph with Cheap Trick, specially designed Cheap Trick tour shirt (exclusive to the “Meet and Greet Package”), collectible Cheap Trick tour lithograph (limited print), Cheap Trick Dream Police badge, commemorative Cheap Trick button set, exclusive Cheap Trick meet and greet merchandise item, official meet and greet laminate, commemorative meet and great ticket, and on-site meet and greet host. The “Fan Tour Package” is available for $99 and includes: one premium reserved ticket located in rows 11-15, one adult fair gate admission ticket, specially designed Cheap Trick tour shirt (exclusive to the “Fan Tour Package”), collectible Cheap Trick tour lithograph (limited print), Cheap Trick Dream Police badge, commemorative Cheap Trick button set, exclusive Cheap Trick Fan Tour merchandise item, commemorative tour laminate and ticket, and on-site fan tour host.

In addition to these artist announcements and seating options, the Northern Wisconsin State Fair has debuted its VIP Area, offering a limited 50 VIP tickets per artist available to the public. These VIP tickets will provide access from 5-10 pm to an exclusive viewing area and include: one adult fair admission ticket, a catered meal, refreshments (beer, wine, soda, and water), air-conditioning, independent

viewing area, private restrooms, and a separate entry/exit to the VIP area. Tickets are first come, first serve and can be purchased online at www.nwsfa.com/p/northern-wisconsin-state-fair/tickets.

This will be the 121st year of the Northern Wisconsin State Fair serving the Chippewa Valley. Each year the fair offers a plethora of family-fun activities and big-name artists known across the world. From agriculture, to food, carnival rides and games, educational exhibits, vendor shows, and more, the Northern Wisconsin State Fair is truly a “Family Affair.”
