Cadott (WQOW) -- Happy couples planted their roots at a local orchard Sunday.
For the third year, Dixon's Apple Orchard in Cadott, asked couples who were married at their venue to come back the following year, and plant an apple tree. Each couple got a plaque with their names and wedding date on it, to place in front of their trees. Owner, Becky Mullane said the couples are helping the orchard plant its roots.
"I think our place and our family feels more than just a place to them," said Mullane. "To have them as a part of our orchard is just really special to me just to know that they want to be a part of us and for the future of our place."
Mullane also said it takes an apple tree about five years before it will produce apples, but the couples and their families can come back any time to see their tree.
