Altoona (WQOW) - Altoona school officials are looking into a threat at one of the schools.
According to a letter sent to high school parents, Altoona High School was made aware of a possible threat regarding a student bringing a weapon to school.
Altoona police are investigating, and said based on communication with the student and the student's family, Altoona High School is safe and classes will go on as normal.
The letter goes on to say other students reported the threat, and they are being applauded for coming forward.
If you have any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to contact Jason LeMay, the high school principal, at (715) 839-6031.
