Eau Claire (WQOW)- Temperatures are dropping and the the windows may be closed, but how will it impact your plants?
We do know the northern part of our viewing area will get the coldest.
Ben Polzin from Down To Earth in Eau Claire said most of your plants are safe, as long as temperatures stay near 40.
However, you may want to protect your more tropical flowers.
"Or something like your coleus or potato vine that might be a little bit more tender, you might want to cover those or bring those inside for the evening. After tonight it does look really good and promising in the forecast so I think we will be set for after that, but do watch your more sensitive items tonight," Polzin said.
Polzin said your shrubs and trees will be just fine because they're used to getting light frost this time of year.
