Starting Saturday May 12, Creative Economy Week in Wisconsin is a fitting celebration for Eau Claire and its blossoming arts community.
Guests can sign up for tasting tours, attend theater performances and listen to local music. The event is apt for Eau Claire, with its arts scene and music festivals. Here, there are 24 events over eight days, with 50 people involved in the production of over 10 genres.
"We're celebrating not only what we enjoy about our community, but what makes it thrive," said Elizabeth Brodek of Downtown Eau Claire Inc. "So, even though we have a creative economy that is robust year-round, this is really a time to take the time out of the day and the month to focus on these different ventures."
Celebrations extend through Saturday, May 19. For more information on this week's events, see here.
