Tampa Bay (CNN) - Police in Tampa, Florida gave a boy with Spina Bifida a brand new bike but it's not just any bike. Alexi Martinez uses a wheelchair and can't ride a regular bike. Police first met him back April when his siblings won bicycles as part of a giveaway. They noticed how sad Alexi was that he didn't get one, so they found a company that specializes in adaptive tricycles, which let disabled people use their arms to pedal. Alexi's mom told him she was taking him to a doctor's appointment, but took him to the police department instead for his surprise. This marks the first time Alexi has ever been able to ride a bike.
