Police ID woman killed in Pierce Co. ATV crash

- Police have now identified the woman killed in a Pierce County ATV crash last week.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, Janice Swanson, 68, of rural Beldenville, was driving a four-wheeler with a chemical sprayer spraying weeds on a hillside when the ATV rolled down the hill and landed on top of her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 68-year-old woman is dead after rolling her four-wheeler Wednesday evening.

According to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office, the woman was driving a four-wheeler with a chemical sprayer spraying weeds on a hillside in a cow pasture when the ATV rolled down the hill and landed on top of her around 6 p.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation by the Wisconsin DNR.

The woman's name and address is not being released at this time until the entire family can be notified.
