Eau Claire (WQOW) -- Jacob Nesbit broke a tie game in the top of the 11th with a sacrifice fly, and the Larks edge the Express at Carson Park, 3-1 in 11 innings.
Facing a 1-run deficit in the bottom of the third, Eau Claire tied the game at 1 when Spencer Myers scored on a wild pitch. That score would remain the same heading into the bottom of the 9th. With two outs in the inning and two on base, Myers chopped one right to the Nesbit, whose throw pulled Matthew Warkentin off the first base bag. But Warkentin recovered to throw Zach Gilles out at home, and the game went to extras. The Larks then tallied 2-runs in the top of the 1th to provide the final margin.
Eau Claire's record now stands at 4-6, with Bismarck improving to 6-4. The Express will host the Larks again at Carson Park, Friday, in a game scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
