UPDATE:
Barron County (WQOW) - The Barron County Sheriff's Office has provided new information about a fatal crash that happened on Tuesday.

They now say Yangguang Ou, 44, of New York was killed in the crash - not Feng Lin, as they released on Wednesday.

They say Lin was the owner of the van.

Police have identified the two people involved in a fatal Barron County crash.

According to the Barron County Sheriff's Department, Feng Lin, 41, of Eau Claire was killed when he crossed the center line hitting a semi head-on Tuesday morning on Highway 8.

The driver of the semi, Michael Nemeth, 58, of Barron was flown to Eau Claire, but expected to be OK.

Highway 8 was closed for more than five hours Tuesday morning.

- One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a crash in Barron County Tuesday morning.

According to the Barron County Sheriff's Office, a semi and van hit head-on around 4:24 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 8 west of Barron.

Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said a van was traveling west on Highway 8 when it crossed the center line and hit a semi traveling east head-on.

The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was transported to Mayo Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Names are not being released by police until families can be notified.

Highway 8 was closed for more than five hours Tuesday morning.
