Chippewa Falls( Heyde Center for the Arts)- There is always something unique happening at the Heyde Center for the Arts.
You don't have to be a professional artist or performer to get out and try hand at the arts. They will be holding a wide variety of "hands on" arts classes for everyone - young and old, beginner to experienced. Don't be afraid to come out and try creating art yourself.
The Heyde Center has hosted a weekly "Chill on the Hill" series providing an interactive arts experience for kids ages four to ten years of age. Artists and performers donate their time to introduce children to a wide range of artistic opportunities. These classes are held Tuesdays at 11am at the Heyde Center - June, July and August. In addition, the CVCA partners with the Eau Claire Children's Theater to provide longer summer drama camp experiences for youth in the area. There are several theater classes are available in August.
Summer Arts Learning Opportunities for Adults - We have a variety of classes available for adults too. We will have classes on how to draw, how to paint using soft pastels (openings still available for Monday, June 18th class), creating batiks, painting on silk scarves, and watercolor painting. We will expand the number and types of classes as we move into the fall/winter, but there is plenty to do this summer - with skilled and talented instructors from the area.
If you are interested in any of these activities, you can find more information at the Heyde Center for the Arts website.
