Bloomer (WQOW) - A Bloomer man is behind bars, but not before trying to enjoy a meal at McDonald's.
Jack Rasmussen, 50, is facing two charges, including felony bail jumping and resisting an officer.
According to court documents, a Bloomer officer made a traffic stop on Rasmussen because he had a warrant out for his arrest. Rasmussen drove his car to McDonald's and started walking away from his vehicle.
The officer told him he needed to wait by his truck because of the warrant for his arrest. Rasmussen told the officer he was going to go in and get some McDonald's before he went to jail.
The officer tried to arrest Rasmussen, but Rasmussen told the officer he was "not going to put handcuffs on him until he ate his McDonald's."
Rasmussen continued to resist arrest and a second officer was called in - at which point he was taken into custody.
If convicted of these two charges, Rasmussen faces a maximum of six years, nine months in prison.
