Eau Claire (WQOW) - A Minnesota man is behind bars after police said he was driving drunk with a two-year-old in the car near Eau Claire.
According to the Wisconsin DOT, Daniel Siglin, 26, from St. Paul MN was arrested for driving under the influence, second offense, with a child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Sunday at about 10:17 p.m., a state trooper stopped to assist a driver on Interstate 94 near Eau Claire. The car was missing a wheel.
The trooper noticed the smell of alcohol in the car. He conducted field sobriety tests and arrested Siglin. He was taken to the Eau Claire County Jail.
An Eau Claire County deputy stayed with the child until her grandparents made it to the scene to pick her up.
