Louisiana (CNN)- A group of Louisiana children have a message of inclusivity for blue bell ice cream -- and they want the company to change the name of one of its flavors.
"The Great Divide" flavor combines chocolate and vanilla in one container. The kids love it, but they noticed that the name makes them think of racial divisions, which, unlike the ice-cream itself, leaves a bad taste in their mouths. So they came up with a new name, "Better Together" and sent their idea to the company.
They posted their letter to blue bell on Facebook and it's been shared more than 12-thousand times.
The company had glowing praise for the children's' effort, but would not comment on whether they will actually change the flavor's name.
