(WQOW) - The Trump administration is working on a bill that would grant the president powers to boost tariffs without approval from Congress.
The proposal comes a little more than a month after the administration announced tariffs on billions of dollars in goods from China, Mexico, the EU and Canada.
These tariffs will impact some people right here in Wisconsin. On Monday, News 18 asked Governor Walker about the state's push to help our local businesses.
"As the president himself stated at the G-7, if we have no tariffs in any direction, American farmers, American workers, American manufacturers can compete with anyone in the world."More tariffs could be coming soon. China is expected to put a 25-percent tariff on soybeans starting on Friday.
