Polk County (WQOW) - A former police chief will spend some time on the other side of the jail bars.
Former Clayton police chief Grant Pickard was sentenced Tuesday to two months behind bars.
Last year, Pickard was accused of having sexual contact with a female subordinate officer. He was also accused of inappropriate touching, texting, and other sexual contact.
Pickard pleaded no contest to misdemeanor lewd and lascivious behavior and sending a threatening or obscene computer message. In return for his plea, seven other charges, including felony sexual assault and misconduct in office, were dismissed.
Pickard must get a psychosexual evaluation and will be on probation for a year.
