Eau Claire Healthy Communities

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Eau Claire Healthy Communities is asking for your input on tackling the area's top health issues.

Two virtual community conversations will take place this week and residents are asked to provide input on the underlying causes of top health priorities, identify specific focus areas, and share what they see as potential next steps for the community.

The conversations are the next step in the 2021 Eau Claire County Community Health Assessment process. Earlier this year, mental health, drug use, alcohol misuse, obesity, and healthy nutrition were identified as top health priorities in our community.

The information gathered during these sessions will be used by local groups to help develop their Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), which is a three-year plan that outlines goals and strategies to address identified community health needs. The CHIP is a community-driven document that guides the work of a variety of local coalitions and community partners.
