UW-Eau Claire men's hockey scored the final five goals Friday in a 5-1 win over UW-Superior at Hobbs Ice Arena

EAU CLAIRE (WQOW) - Five unanswered goals powered the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team to a win in its conference-opener on Friday night.

The Blugolds trailed University of Wisconsin-Superior 1-0 just 3:17 into the game at Hobbs Ice Arena, but responded with three goals in the first period to eventually win 5-1.

Troy MacTavish evened the score 1-1 at 6:14, then Ty Readman scored 90 seconds later.

Quinn Green scored a short-handed goal at 14:02 to make it 3-1 Blugolds.

In the second period, Connor Szmul scored at the 10:54 mark. 

In the third period, the Blugolds scored a power play goal from Kyle Oleksiuk.
